Daddy, your eyelids
as gray lace hide those tiny
hazel China plates
now tucked away in final
slumber. Oh, how I miss you!

Thank you Andrea, for appreciating my grief poem. But you know, I will see him and embrace him again someday in the far off. Anyone we've ever loved, the Lord presents them to us again!

Fortunate to have had loving parents. I think most poets did. Would be interesting to know. Very nice writing. I miss mine also.

Thank you, Kim. It's been almost 30 years and I still think of him often. Although I miss him in this life, I do believe I will see him again someday.
