the screech owl dives
from a swift, starless sky
strange sounds stir my calm
as hungry night creatures hunt -
a stranger in my bed

Little boys with big imaginations hears sounds in the night, a swoosh of a owl and a panic run -- to the nice warm safe bed with mom!! Well, that is what I used to do anyway!! 7
