Tanka 2 About the Cherry Blossom and Life

on melting snow first cherry blossom withers too soon mum ties pink ribbons to the white casket Or on melting snow first cherry blossom withers too soon mum unties ribbons from empty cot-bed

This one I really like a lot, and definitely the first one is better. you should enter that first one in his contest. I think he would really like it!

Hi dear..though Im still in learning process of tanka..I love this one better cause it reminds me of a very sad and true happening to my friend...But since its Chris'contest and He emphasised on pivot.I entered the other one..And the other reason is I might annoy him or maybe amuze him with the 'priest' concept : )

Oh shucks... this makes the heart feel so sad and heavy but yes, truly touches the heart-- I can't decide which one I prefer-- but I found it so interesting, how changing the verb can still have the same feeling that elicits, but still different. Sorry not sure if I am clear, needless to say, beautiful and moving tanka, one hopes that a parent ever experience this. Btw, I haven't been able to email you, but I keep your father-in-law in my prayers, especially for 3/26--praying for his recovery...

Incredibly pensive, subjective, yet somehow without mis-interpretation! Very interesting Charmaine

I like how these work with Tanka 1, you've pieced them together so well. Prefer the empty cot-bed, but still so sad.

I Too Like Number One Here Beautiful Poet...Tis Actually A Bit Riveting Considering These Tiny Caskets; Precious Babies Like Cherubs....Again, We Find Your Beauty In Your Words So Loving, And So Soft...Making It Easy To Favour Splendours Poetic, As Also Both Your Verses....Yours Truly, Jeremy

The life of a flower may last for a few hours but its beauty immortal remains in the heart! Welcome back! Your Tanka will not wither though, dear Charmaine!
