Tangerine Was the Rage of the Sixties
In the sixties and early seventies, orange was the rage.
Designers called it tangerine adding lemon and lime.
This is when colors began tasting like fruit.
We bought into it, wanting orange everything.
I never got over it, loving tangerine and oranges.
Every room in my house has a touch of tangerine.
Most of my rooms have lemon and lime also.
These colors keep me lively and young.
Others can enjoy their blah dreary tans and grays.
I will not give up my sixties colors until I am wheeled out
In a body bag with a toe tag. My children understand this.
They stopped suggesting changes years ago.
