Notes About The Poem

Image from my friend, Marian Beaman

(she took this photo this morning outside her home in Florida)

TANGERINE SUNRISE

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Black lace on fire~ the trees etch prayers into dawn’s slow blush. A tangerine peel splits, spilling light like stolen honey.
