Talking To the Stars

valleys join mountain peaks
                                     what can bind
                             my aching heart to you

Thanks, Jack! It is good to be back. Sometimes Alaska is a lonely place--but it is always heartrendingly magnificent! V.

I enjoyed this. Though on a first read, it sounds so lonely, I thought about this. Space can also unite, give people pause. Not sure if this was your intent, but it is something that came to me.

Lonely but not hopeless or helpless...the lovely factor of haiku is that it encompasses the stark splendor of nature with the longings of humanity. Thanks for reading and commenting Cyndi!
