Talking In Your Sleep
So late at night, my favorite time
To watch you sleep in sweet repose
And have a little night-time chat
Extracting secrets as you doze.
The profile I've loved for thirty years
Whose smile engages my heart to race
I miss, however, the talks we shared
Between each youthful, charged embrace.
So now I steal soft conversation
From sweet lips that can't object
And pray that I may never hear
Named other women you select.
Your lips are moving, so I bend near
Words of approval and unfettered lust
Your arousal is clear, as you moan and purr
I feel frightened and guilty for my lack of trust.
But I can't stop now, I focus to catch
The I.D. of this woman divine.
At last you are speaking, professing your love
And the name that you finally utter is . . . MINE!
