Talk About Aging
You want me to talk about aging,
But my bones are still holding true
My fingers, elongated, and now, a wedding ring
Yes, I'm still in my twenties, it's true.
But I remember when I was three feet tall
And the world was as small as I...
But now I have: a husband to hold my hand,
A Bachelors degree, a new home, a new sky.
So now, let's talk about aging
Though my hair's still silky and gold,
My eyes see things I never could before
And soon- my arms- a baby to hold...
Yes, let's talk about aging
How a girl becomes a wife
How a wife becomes a mother...
And it changes her world, her life.
