Taking Home Left Overs

A group of people
Sit at the table
They order their drinks
Then order their meas
They chat awhile
Then order their meals
Some enjoy -others do
not
Waitress ask them
If finished the meals
Some say yes -others
do not
One couple piles the food
Then they ask the person
next to them
If they want their food
Their left overs goes
into anther box
The theme continues
Until nothing is left on
the plates
Now the boxes one by
one now filled
These boxes filled
for one couple
People watching found it
awful
To take food from other plates
Its embarrassing to people
at the table
In a nice restaurant
t is not done-yet it was

Indeed, I would be embarrassed for anyone taking food from others' plates. There must have been hungry children waiting at home. Interesting and witty, Darlene! Hugs, Carolyn

Restaurants just hate the thought of the homeless sitting near to their doors when open, yet they would be the first to feed on the way out for me, nothing like as near freshly cooked food, hand-delivered . . . ; )

Helo Indiana Shaw,Yes I do agree with you. Only this happened at the table with 8 people putting food into 4 boxes. Then given to one couple. It is the wrong thing to do when eating out. Have a nice day my friend.

it makes me wonder if they take them to homeless people...or even stray animals... one would certainly not collect all that food for nothing i wouldn't think.. nice penning... have a good weekend my friend... hugs

I'm amazed how little some people eat. They nibble a bit and take the rest home. The only thing I ever take home is pizza because I love a couple of pieces at breakfast. Have a great night my friend.

Hello David McHattie, yes some people eat a lot and some a little. I saw people pile food unwanted into a box, then pass it another person to fill the same box with food. I was shocked! Have a nice day my friend. Thank you for the lovely comment.

gosh I've never seen that before, I've had a doggy bag of my own food but never from other people's plates ... i wonder what they do with the leftover food - maybe give it to the homeless and not eat it themselves. Happy new year Darlene:-) hugs Jan xx
