Taking For Granted
Maybe we took for granted, not wearing masks while freely socializing
Maybe we took for granted not worrying, what may happen next
Maybe having the answers to reassure us, didn’t matter so much then
Now, we feel the distance breathing down our necks
And extra precautions become a daily task, more so than before
As we wonder in these circles of motion, will it ever be the same?
But, are we taking anything for granted now that will be missing later?
