Poor little thing. I was at an immersive exhibition at the Imperial War Museum where they recreated the scene of a bomb going off in a market and the poets view of the devastation. There was noise and chaos but he focussed in on the charred pages of books floating slowly to the ground and the bizarre beauty of it against the horrific backdrop. This poem puts me in mind of that, imagining the feathers falling and those people that believe a feather appearing is the sign of an angel close by...
