Take Up the Cross and Follow Me

I cry to Thee sweet Jesus for my burden is too great Take this cross away from me for I cannot bear the weight. My child the road to calvary I trod on painful and burning soles I bore the cross upon a back and fell beneath its load. I lay my life down my child so that you might live I left you the Holy spirit This is only mine to give. Bear up my child I walk beside you always After the dark of night comes sunrise At the end of the tunnel comes light. For you my beloved the gates of Heaven are open wide Angels will sweep you through in glorious Light So live in me dear child As I live in you.

This is excellent. I like the sincerity in the poem and the flow of the words. Reverence and honor are in its midst. It's always good to give thanks and praise. Great job and God bless always! ~Joseph
