We started with a step
Step that will leave marks 
Marks that will turn to scars
Scars of moments 
Moments turn to memories 
Memories that will ignite feelings 
Feelings that bring smiles 
Smiles with emotions 
Emotions with tears 
Tears of joyous journeys
Journeys with stories 
Stories shared with happiness 
Happiness beckons love 
Love leads toward friendship 
Friendship wheels to relationship 
Relationship drives connection 
Connection begins with Faith 
Faith we have in each other 
In each other we trust 
Trust to help take steps 
Steps led to us 
Us against the world
