Take a Chill Pill
Innocence so pure and free
Like children playing so happily
Holding hands signing cheerfully
Smiles so big the world can see
The happy kids we began the same
Time passes by and it all disappears
The blink of an eye darkness appears
Pure joys turned to now sudden fears
Out of control like changeable gears
The victimised adult now the majority
That infantile purity suddenly misplaced
A haze of confusion and anger are faced
Where has the joy gone in all this haste
Such bitterness one’s mouth can taste
The confused and lost we all seek for more
Like a pill of thrilling ecstasy consumed
If only this easy the world could assume
Once pure and joyous innocence to resume
Too high or enlightened to continually feud
The time to remember we are all just humans
As easy as a chill pill we all could simply take
To forget the years bitterness that built our hate
Return that pure innocence locked behind our own gate
Restoring humanity in all and seal us a good fate
The way we could all be simply happy and free
