Table Mountain

She's covered
in clouds today
looks like the table is set
in all her glory,
ready to entertain
with its prettiest
decoration ever
just a sign of
the cape doctor
on its way
ready to blow
away all the smog
and dirt this city can muster
what an awesome sight
when she welcomes
the sun in the morning…
What would Cape Town
be without Table Mountain?
A city without a soul...

The Smokey Mountains have the same effect, Wilma. Great use of imagery in your poem. Though many of us have not seen Table Mountain, now we feel as though we have through your words! Love, Carolyn
