Table

Table

Come to me you families
and sit for just a spell.
Take a load off your shoulders,
with your stories to tell.

Come to me you students,
sit around me after school.
You can write your thesis on my top,
because you are not a fool.

I can be the peace keeper,
and help you to unwind.
When you sit on one of my chairs
and consume your food divine.

I can be the place of therapy
where cookies and milk calm your fears.
I can be the place where midnight answers,
and your mamma wipes away your tears.

oh I love this. Were I to personify an actual object, I don't think I could choose a better one than table
