Tabby, Or Not To Be?

Along came a fine feline named Morris,
Lured by lilt of lascivious chorus;
He crouched inside the cage,
Appetite to assuage -
Patiently he purports to ignore us.

Amusing alliteration! Creative choice of vocabulary! “Purports to ignore us” - coup de grace! And the title is the winner on its own, congratulations!
