 S                         Sizzling Sol:
                heartthrob of the
                           starlets
   each wants him to
 shine on only her
                                                          young Luna
                                                               waxes
                                                            poetic
                                                       hoping
                                             to win him
                                                                               but Terra,
                                                  who should know better
                                               is  blue-green with envy 
                                             at being thus eclipsed

I know how you love celestial themes. This is really wonderful, John, each verse highlighting with a different planetary orb. Love the last line about terra "who should know better." A little touch of humor. Congratulations on your winning placement!

This is so clever - a lover's triangle between the sun, the earth, and the moon - and the way you use. eclipse - the perfect finishing touch! I am beyond impressed with this - a Fave!

This is outstanding John! Everything about your poem has a mystical feel. The imagery, the concept, the layout, the words and the simple emotions that add a flavor to them. It takes me to another world. All the best for the contest :)
