Sympathy

Sympathy opens my heart when sensibleness warns me to keep it shut. There's danger lurking in your gaping mouth. Sweet words soon turn sour. I risk getting hurt, sympathy driving me to rescue, to fix the underdog, though I know you want to be loved, not pitied.
