....nice one.....the artist's mime was the mosaic, and his gesture was his signature on his work of art.......stan

Brilliant observation Stan, I definitely wouldn’t disagree or argue against your assessment, great minds almost think alike lol! Cheers David

Everything now days seems to have to be Improved under the guise of a new improved recipe format or formula Wasn't actually really broke in the 1st place or required fixing Until current modern times where apparently everything is outdated and needs a modern new spin put on it As all the old ways of doing and viewing things are now deemed somehow to be Not nearly good enough merely just a prototype waiting to be improved upon A token of a prehistoric age or other

It’s a runaway train we’re living on now Christopher, if it stops half the world’s population can wave goodbye immediately, and if it continues to pick up pace, it looks an even worse case scenario, life of Brian is a class act, I’m not really familiar with Alan Partridge

I genuinely do believe the times we are currently living in David. Will surely have to be eradicated and wiped from history and all records and evidence destroyed Rather than have to admit to the fact just how insanely logic defyingly stupid and the depths to which we ideolically sank and regressed as supposed intelligent human beings

Well stated Christopher, I like your take on my Monoku, how much of todays tat will still be around in 2000 years, it’s amazing that they still find Roman mosaics fully intact under fields in part of England, no cowboys in those days, cheers David

I agree with Lin. Once cracked, change it. Blessings.

Thanks Victor, this one’s all symbolic, I give one possible interpretation to Lin below, but I still see more, cheers David

I’ve always been a huge proponent of leaving well enough alone. A broken mosaic tile will always be cracked. Toss it and make another. A jester and a mime communicating… envisioning that is hilarious enough without knowing what was said. Rhyming Monoku is definitely your thing.

Absolutely Lin such is the complex nature of life in general, interpretation is always in the eye of the beholder, sometimes even when not ambiguous interpretations will differ, ah the vagaries of man, and woman!

I saw the mosaic as a relationship. Once broken, it will never be repaired so time to move on and perhaps begin a new one. The jester is the one who broke the mosaic(marriage). Now trying to fix things but the mime, who quietly put up with the wrong doing finally finds a voice to speak up and leave. Amazing how when something is ambiguous, it can be taken in so many different directions.

Several interpretations here Lin, The mosaic could well be a microcosm of our world which is pretty broken, but the most we can do is offer tokens at any given time to try make it appear whole, the mime artist is perhaps being called out for gesticulating at the problem yet doing nothing, the jester could also be me writing this in a symbolic shameful manner, and quite rightly on the receiving end of the unspoken!!! thanks so much for stopping by cheers David

Hi David! Suoerb monoku! Read it several tines. Reminded me in its feel of Beckett’s “Waiting for Gidit,” which i deeply studied & almost memorized at one time; at core dealt with language’s dissolution into the ineffable. Not exactly sure that was simikar to ur intent here, but that’s what it felt like to me. Loved it!

Heya Sally, my intent was mostly to piece this one together as a mosaic using symbolism, language, gestures, and rhyme for effect, I’m still seeing a few ramifications myself, some indeed ineffable lol, must check out, (Waiting for Godot) quotes, thanks so much for stopping by, I do hope you are keeping well, cheers David
