Swim Through the Darkness
I'm the real definition of a Tortured artist
Anxiety turns the most simple task into the hardest
I make it seem like I don't care and you probably think I'm heartless
But it's the only way I'll survive as I swim through the darkness
I've hid my own feelings and put others first my whole life
Now I'm down and out, staring out of the window on this cold night
They didn't want to know me when my depression got worse and disaster hit
Even though I made myself sad, to have the strength to provide them happiness
I had the world on my shoulders, but it turns out that there's a limit to how much pain one man can manage to hold
I eventually buckled under the pressure, now it's about damage control
I'm wounded and scarred, trying to find a way to recover fully
I'm cutting ties with everyone who can't see some beauty in my ugly
I used to be embarrassed about being bipolar, But I'll no longer apologise
I'm going to come back like Mike Tyson and give a stronger fight
My tears are wrote in poetical form
Been alone for most of my life, but I think I've found my hope in the storm
I now know I need to heal myself before I can save you
I need to recover from my own heartbreak before I can love another
I now know I can survive anything that comes my way
But this is the time for me to work on myself and to take the time to recover
I'm the real definition of a Tortured artist
Anxiety turns the most simple task into the hardest
I care more than most, But I have to make it seem like I'm heartless
Because that's the only way I'll swim through the darkness
