Sweeter Cold Tea

1. Our intentions stay straight
as this well carved acquaintance
gives a lovely and presentable silhouette
agreed terms and policy not rabbit warren
as debit is debit and credit is credit.
But with undefined boundaries
our hearts in a rustproof
to avoid the pain of the past.

Chorus
The tea is cold but tastes sweeter
the cloth is worn but smells fresher
sweet flavour turn pungent is now scentier
she’s never going back, this I need to accept.

2. A sandy platform
where memories and reality
have a monkey’s wedding.
Our maturity
has created such warmth already scripted
the strict rules are puckered
by pinching hormones highly overstaffed
as life gradually becomes a trap
of a whammy rotating disc for us.

Chorus
The tea is cold but tastes sweeter
the cloth is worn but smells fresher
sweet flavour turn pungent is now scentier
she’s never going back, this I need to accept.

3. Compliments flood in packages of a bun
from a volunteer troubadour to my babe
both in sophisticated denial.
Her partial availability draws
colourful froth into her season
then every event around her
becomes very sour and less of a tony.

Chorus
The tea is cold but tastes sweeter
the cloth is worn but smells fresher
sweet flavour turn pungent is now scentier
she’s never going back, this I need to accept.

4. Her life sploshes through time with ease
mine is limited to the observance of our contract
no one will condescend the other to move on earlier
even though
there is still a strong pudenda-connection between us.
I have to accept that the romance
has long gone into nullity.

Chorus
The tea is cold but tastes sweeter
the cloth is worn but smells fresher
sweet flavour turn pungent is now scentier
she’s never going back, this I need to accept.

You really are good at writing a "song." Many good and original word choices, too.
