Sweet Surrender
I stay victorious in God’s grace verily
By my sweet surrender to His will’s providence;
He invites me to delight in Him joyously
Assuring me His constant presence wondrously
With His might that vanquishes evil’s evidence!!!
Only in the Lord can I find true contentment*
Whenever I’m gripped with envy’s exaltation
Afflicting my soul with worthlessness-indictment;
Indeed, I thank Him for ready replenishment
Brought along Christ’s sacrifice for my salvation!!!
*1Timothy 6:6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.
