Sweet Images
I wished you were here, the stream of wishing never stopped
Sometimes, I was blessed with your return to life in my dreams
Sweet images to hold onto, from those special gifts in the night
I tried to move through each new day cautiously, step by step
While looking forward to a light of our own reuniting later
When we can celebrate all that we never had the chance to
Sudden death is a curse, of haunting words unsaid
Spilling from my mouth, begging to be heard at your grave
But, the place deep in my heart, remains the same
No empty years can take away what you have filled
As I live carrying my future image, to embrace you in the end
