Sweet Green

I read you some new poetry 
   from my little book
You said it made you sleepy
   minutes was all it took

But it was not my written word
   this truth I did surmise
The fact of what it really was 
   is written in your eyes

You rolled it up in silence
   no sticks or stems or seed
While I read, you smoked that joint
of sweet green fragrant weed.

This was funny and what's really weird is, now I have the munchies. What is up with that? Really fun Lenna...when I first saw the title, Sweet Green I thought that maybe it was about...oh nevermind. :) I love the falling asleep part, I get that.

haha, very glad you can see the humor in this one. It's so funny to me because when I read it to the person who inspired it, we really got a good laugh together. It seems you got this very well along with the humor of it. Thank you for that, and as always, you visit. I am glad to see that someone here can get a laugh too. :)
