Sweet Christmas Kitty
I know that something's going on-
my mama's acting very strange.
She seems so happy moving things-
then brings a tree into our house!
On it, she's hanging balls and lights,
long ropes of beads and candy canes;
and pretty boxes, large and small,
with big red bows, are placed below.
But now, she comes to brush me up!
And all at once, here on my head,
she puts a silly, woolly, cap...
with pompoms dangling by my paws!
I guess I must put up with this-
pretending surely- I don't care.
Just close my eyes- for it's okay-
my mama takes good care of me.
