Jack, It was an interesting sight. Most of the time when we go the river is not up that high so it is not as noticeable. I need to go back and take some pictures but I need to go early, early in the morning or late in the afternoon because of the light. Sara

Brian, I wrote then tried to find a picture. I don't take the pictures as much anymore. I wrote it from a real-life tree which is struggling with hanging on because the river does run through its roots when the river is up. The soil has washed away and only a few keep it hanging on. Maybe like me in my last years. Sara

Delice, There are some interesting trees out there who have lived a weathered life and the limbs and roots reveal their hard life. Your visit is encouraging. Sara
