Susie the Hungry Chicken
Susie strutted through short brown grass,
clucking and scratching with intent.
Searching for a worm of high class
filled with a luscious green content.
Susie tripped over a green bug
that appeared scrawny - very weak.
He promptly advised a fat slug,
that would look nice between her beak.
Susie declined to let bug go,
but words sounded so alluring.
She knew that slugs were very slow,
that made it still more assuring.
Susie set to search on dry ground
for slug to add to her cuisine.
At once remembered they are found
where grass is lively, wet, and green.
