SURE CURE FOR SLEEPLESS NIGHTS

Folks, I have to tell you I ain't been sleepin' all that well as of late.

Some of the problem is due to the obnoxious snorin' of my mate!

Or it could be the neighbor's barkin' dogs up and down the street,

And believe me, there are howlin' hounds and yappin' mutts replete!

I've tried numerous sleepin' aids off the pharmacist's shelf,

Tryin' to cure this dilemma and get some sleep for myself.

Eureka!  I found a simple remedy for my plight in church today;

I fell fast asleep as soon as the preacher arose to have his say!

Perfectly penned Robert, and for the record I have a poem written on the subject some time back, so believe me I feel your discomfort! Minus the latter comment though, instead I'm like a nodding dog half of the day... still, there is something h9lds us there... Keep writing.

“ If you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.” (Proverbs 3:24). I’m not religious Robert - I just googled it on account of me enjoying your poem. Cheers - Gary

Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. Works every time, I dare say. Perhaps you can record this preacher and listen to him every night at bedtime. Cheers, Gershon
