Supper Is Served

"supper is served", that's how they say it in the deep south dinner is on the table and it's time to thank God with the words of our mouths families today no longer sit down together and dine like they used to do but if we look back at the last supper of Christ we might change out point of view Jesus washed the feet of His Disciples like most servants did back then it was a show of respect and humility He desired to impart to His men He pointed out to them that His gesture was a reasonable service for Christ to serve the Lord as the Lord serves you as one walks a Christian life for it's not about recognition, it's not about titles nor is it about awards it's about being transformed into an obedient servant in the eyes of the Lord it's not about the Pastor calling out your name nor the boasting of your deeds it's about being mature in your Christian walk and being implanted with God's righteous seeds supper is served Jesus said after He washed His Disciples feet Peter protested but Jesus said "This is a challenge we all need to meet" "My washing of your feet is about sharing a part of Me" "My washing of your feet is a gesture of spiritual humility" supper is served to all sinners who have fallen short of God's glory be it sins of omission or commission we all have a testimony to sup with Christ is the way to reexamine and reevaluate one's life to sup with the Lord is the opportunity to repent and get right with Christ for it's by His blood that we've been given an open invitation and it's by His flesh that we have the chance to unburden our situations supper is served the bread and the wine, Jesus' body and blood supper is served and I'll always sit down to dine with the Lord I love
