Holding hands, we embrace each other,
and our hearts and souls somehow entwine.
When two lonely hearts first fall in love,
each moment is savored like fine wine.
The heart's eye sees only perfection;
love is an intoxicating drink.
And sipping the elixir of hope,
lovers never care what others think.
Laugher and giggles enhance the mood,
ascribing white lies to vanities.
And heaven comes within mortal reach,
as lovers indulge in fantasies.
We were two half-souls searching for love,
when destiny brought us together.
And once all doubt was replaced by trust,
two soulmates were conjoined forever.
There is no me, and there is no you
when hearts combine; there is only us.
And as long as we have each other,
everything else is superfluous.
