Sunset On Planet Halifax
SUNSET ON PLANET HALIFAX
The sun peeped through the morning clouds
He thought, “What should I do today?”
His answer came, so quick, so proud
I'll set with a dazzling array
The hours passed and now it's late
The sun must go to bed
He started sinking down – but wait
He hadn't done what he said
With a final burst of sunlight
Displayed in awesome hue
Colors so vivid, shining bright
Purple, pink, and blue
Red and orange, yellow and green
Raced across the sky
A more beautiful sight was ever seen
By any alien eye
As the sun dropped quickly out of sight
He smiled, as if to say
This was no ordinary sunset tonight
What a great way to end the day
