Sunset

If there's a beginning, there's always an end. Like birth, comes death in the end. For without sunrise, there could be no sunset. When I was younger, I used to spend my summer vacation in the ricefields. Harvesting palay, playing kites, watching the birds and the beautiful sunset. How I wish to bring back the hands of time. The time when sunset brings the calmness of the night. Listening to radio dramas with a bright moonlight. Nowadays, I eagerly wait for the sunset. For it is near to nighttime. Where at night I can temporarily escape from the physical and emotional pain I hid. Sunset reminds the end of my earthly journey. Hoping for a loved one to take care of me. When I can no longer rise to see the morning light.
