Sunrise Sunset

Sunrise, sunset, Quickly goes the day These words hold sway, A song of the distant day. Coming to the closing years, Of life that started far away. Remembering the storms of life, That brought some times of strife. Yet quickly goes the day, that soothed the storms away. Thinking of that tinkling brook, Remembering your winsome look. Oh sun rise again on halcyon days, When lovers entwined in their tryst, Stay forever enjoined by loves first kiss. © Dave Timperley 20 July 2017

Thank You, Darlene. I enjoyed writing it, as Ido all my poems. They all have something to say, but sometimes you have to read between the lines. God Bless. D.

Showing your tender side in this one Dave. I know it's a cliche' but it is the truth. Life is too short, my friend. Still so many things I want to do. Hopefully the lord will let me hang around for a little while longer. I enjoyed your poem. Have a great evening:)

Not much I want or need to do now Dan. I chucked my bucket list when I found it had a hole that was draining my aspirations away! Thanks for reading my stuff. God Bless. D.
