Sunrise
I have seen the Sunrise
There's...something magical about it
It's bright, but calmingly so
I bask, in it's radiant glow
All feeling leaves my body
There is nothing.
Nothing at all.
Save for the Sunrise
I not once shed a tear;
Save for the Sunrise
I not once felt a smile;
Save for the Sunrise
I not once saw peace;
Save for the Sunrise
And it seems a moment lasts forever.
A never-ending shine so brilliant,
A world which never ceases movement.
And for that moment:
It belongs to me.
As the evening grows and the sun sets,
I see new color in the sky.
A free blend of brilliance and promise,
Showing me the layers of the world.
The sky:
Free from burden, the birthplace of color.
The mountain:
Our challenge, our dream.
The hills and valleys:
Space between.
The home, where love resides:
You.
And as this moment fades, I'm reminded
To love the things I've left behind, and
Because I know that we'll meet once more,
I'll bring the sunrise to your door.
