Sunrise

I wake from my sleep,
For new day is come,
And with it, I rise,
To share in the dawn
With my friend, the Sun

The sky is dark,
But still I wait
For time to pass
And night to fade

Then, through clouds,
Her light bursts,
Warm and bright,

And my
Soul finds

Peace.
