Robin L. Gass Poet Sonnet

Sunny Day

A song of joy is filling up my heart
as the sun shines brightly down on me
feeling all the warmth its rays impart
enchanted by the beauty that I see.

The clouds before my eyes have gone away
and with them left my sorrow and my pain
as within this peaceful sunny day
my tears are dried that once fell like the rain.

Bathed in gold and praising God, I stand
counting all the blessings that I know
and as the sunlight dances o're the land
I can feel His love within me grow.

Thank you God for giving me this day
and for all the good you send my way.

Even through my tears I know that God has blessed me in many ways and I am always thankful for the gifts I receive. :) :)
