Sunlight
Out my window I see the dawn
Pinkish hue with orange neon
Majestic spectrum playing like a drum
I can hear the call where the light comes from
Tears of joy stream down my face
Fall to ground like drops of rain
Rain clouds have taken away my pain
So that I may see sunshine again
Bitterness and grief and unanswered prayers
Climbing to the top of unending stairs
Mournful stares from those who care
Looking for the light somewhere
Can't you hear the reds the greens and the blues
I can feel the breeze of the morning dew
Hoping for the rain clouds to break the news
I can taste the sunshine when if I choose
From dawn to dusk you can take what the day make
You can feel the warmth at the start of the daybreak
Heartbreak of the evening awaits a new day for its namesake
I pray the light never ceases to enlighten for heavens sake
You can always gaze at the moon to see the Sun's reflection
It brightens the night sky from infinite direction
Illuminating me in all its perfection
In my mind's eye I receive the collection
Fiery release of the morning sun
Rain showers of sunshine fall down as one
Calling me home so that I may come
And stand in the light where the the light comes from.
