Laura, with apologies for missing your trophy win, congratulations for taking first place with this stunning haiku. Sunflowers may just be my favorite of all the flowers, with their beautiful yellow hue and how they follow the sun (great little spiritual metaphor there (Sun/Son). Great ending too, 'umbrellas of gold'. Love it!

I can relate to your reply, Laura, I experience self-doubt before each poem I post here.. it seems like every poem is the first for some reason and the anxiety is the same.. and I agree with you in that the warm encouragement and fellowship here keeps us going forward on our poetic journey:) Congrats again, my sweet friend
