Right now, the heat here in Texas is brutal causing all our once brilliant flowers to wilt in the hot afternoon soon, all except the sunflower, the inspiration for this simple poem SUNFLOWER ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ S – Softly shining U - Unwavering gaze N – Nectar rich F - Fierce beauty L – Lovely and tall O – Overcoming summer’s intense heat W - Welcoming warmth E – Elegant and free R – Radiating joy
