This piece really captures the state of religion in our times. I am one of those people who just can't stomach it anymore because of the clergy's failure to actually lead without corruption. It's a sad state of affairs, indeed. I miss the fellowship but hypocrisy and holier-than-though atmosphere keeps me solitary in my spirituality. I live in the so- called "Bible Belt" and it's worse here than anywhere. Especially in our Mega Churches. Sad.

Very nice Haiku Terry. I enjoyed reading it. Your haiku let me feel the loneliness of the church, such a sad situation... Well done!

Hi Terry, I think it comes down to the differences between Japanese and English in translation.... if his translator used ing then I'd say it was ok for you to use it, and you certainly used it well my friend! :) Susan

thank you Susan for your comment. one web site told me i shouldnot use ing, i looked up Basho Haiku.the creator of Haiku ,and his translator used ing 19 times in 37 poems. i havent heard back regarding this issue .And she is the Administrator. whatever.
