Notes About The Poem

Poem inspired by a form called triolet form.

Sun Dancing

The sun shimmers resplendently on a calm sea, It synchronizes with the glistening ripples; Its graceful sways captivated the whole of me, The sun shimmers resplendently on a calm sea. Its fabulous dance completely makes me happy, Its silver reflection on sea water tickles, The sun shimmers resplendently on a calm sea, Cradling my weary soul, giving hope that sparkles.
March 1, 2014 12.30am It’s my first try of a triolet poem- 12 syllables per line. I hope I did it right. HAVE A HAPPY AND BLESSED 1ST DAY OF MARCH 2014. Wish you all the best! Big Hugs! First Place Contest: Impress Me with a small poem II Judged: 3/5/14 Sponsor: Poet Giorgio V.

Hi Leonora:) Having a peep at some of your past poems! The repetitive lines of this poem bring out the dance feeling of the sun on the glimmering sea. Still a delight to read. Hugs // paul

Ah the negative ions of the sea refresh and gift one with the purity of peace as your poem does. It is lovely Leonora. Thank you for the lovely comment you left for my recent poem. I hope you are well? I keep trying not to catch what my granddaughter comes down with. I just got over bronchitis (cold/flu). So great to be back reading poetry again. Blessings

Leonora, it has a very happy feeling for it shines with hope!! You are using some near rhymes in here and usually triolet are 8 syllables a line. But I suppose a modern triolet can use as many syllables per line as wanted! good job.
