Summertime Splendor
Pebbles surfacing the shore reach my toes,
I dip in each foot to feel the warm reverie-
For I know the beauty that no one knows,
as the gulls are flying with mighty liberty.
I am astounded by nature's sanctity.
Azure waters ease my troubled mind,
the ivory clouds bestow silent relief-
in this moment it's marvel I find,
and I dance and prance in misbelief.
There is nothing as lovely as this motif.
Waves cascade and I drift into a dream,
I am restless and feeling a bit animated-
brilliant is the day with the high sunbeam,
and feeling the charm the Lord created.
For in zealous delight I am saturated.
I need not riches nor wealth to bring ease,
just this canvas of summertime splendor-
in moments like this my anguish does cease,
and I am amazed at nature so tender.
To the Lord's pure essence I surrender.
