Summer’s kiss

Have you ever felt the kiss on your skin from the sun?
But felt it so deep down to your soul
Everything in life feels more enjoyable and fun
And even through stress you feel whole

I lay awake at night and just think
about the path I’m on and choices made
How long now I haven’t craved a drink
Since I felt drowned in a dark shade

I feel the wind brush my face and sting my eyes
I think of you and can’t help but smile
And reminisce of the scars on my thighs
And hope I stay like this for a while

I still have my moments of weakness
But we’re all human when alls said and done
Yearning for my own angel of venus
Beauty incarnate; like the ever setting sun

To be loved, held and cherished
By my self and by others all I need
Till the one day I may perish
Starting anew; a fresh planted seed
