Summer's Kiss
What would I do for Summer’s Kiss
For buttered corn and cherry tarts
For watermelon’s sugared bliss
All set to woo my heart of hearts
For Summer’s kiss is one to know
Like watercolor’s rainbow pie
The honeyed air begins to blow
The breezes grace a painted sky
And summers kiss the ocean too
For gulls to greet the morning sun
The mist of sandy beach in view
While laughter rings in echoed fun
And then, through evening’s sleepy eyes
To gaze at dance of fireflies
