Summers End

In the golden heat of summer's embrace, Where love's sweet whispers hang upon the air, Two souls entwined, their hearts set to efface, All doubts and fears, a love beyond compare. Upon the sandy shores, they danced and played, Their laughter mingling with the ocean's roar, Each stolen moment, memories were made, A love so pure, forever to adore. But fate, a cruel mistress, had her say, As summer's warmth turned cold, the skies grew gray, Death's icy hand reached out, took one away, Leaving the other lost, in disarray. Yet through the tears and pain, love still remained, Their bond unbroken, summer's love sustained.

Congratulations on your win, Charles. Truly the bright summer sun was clouded with grielf yet "love still remained." All the best. Blessings.
