A lovely haiku and warm memory, Jan. When young we nearly always went on rocky or pebbly beaches, so not much chance of playing on the sand! Congratulations on a deserved win. Hugs // paul

They certainly are a fond memory for many people ... for me it was shell collecting :) Nicely done, Jan ... I liked your middle line best, as everything seems so much bigger when we were younger.

Hi Jan, there we are, an early summer. Your Haiku lightens the heart and makes one feel young again, bringing back those hours spent on the beach. It had to be a nice hot day to go in the water, i remember it was so cold. It was wonderful when it was hot and you needed to cool the body down, when it was cold, ice station zebra. I Loved building sand castles. Your Haiku brings back wonderful memories to me Jan. It is an excellent write. A 7 and fave. Hugs....Mike. XX
