The Horse Nebula rises from flames, forged from Milky Way core. Saturn flanks his right, Jupiter his left -- Gods girded for war. Lightning bolts whistle above the red glare for all to beware. Dark stallion ascends, riderless, regal, through the rarified air. Alex, thanks for the visit and kind comment. The dark nebula is actually called "the Horse Nebula." A magnificent sight. Check it out if you can find dark skies in, say July or August. ~Eric

The photo does seem to show some meteor or what my father called shooting stars. I have only seen two of those in my life but I don't go outside at night much. I am a day person mostly. I like your work. Reads like a good contender to me for the contest. Thanks for the visit to my page. Sara
