My Dearest Rhyme Time Friend, I am in awe of your beautiful string of pearls. Such lustrous imagery dresses your grand strand of haiku. Each haiku is striking and vibrant.. each is a gem on its own but together they are a treasure trove! I especially adore "whispy trails like spun sugar" and "lightning waits to strike" and "thunder bumpers swell"! Simply splendid, my inspiring friend. Love each one, love 'em all! Warmest wishes sent on the sweet scent of rain.. ~Susan

Hi Terry! Thank you so much! I am deeply touched by your lovely words of compliment! Last week we had the gift of a rainstorm - very unusual for August. It has been so dry here that it lifted everyone's spirits especially the firefighters! Just had to write about it! Glad you enjoyed this walk in the summer rain! All the best. Blessings!

I like the last Haiku very much since so many areas are needing rain to help stop the wildfires and the need for water, etc. Then in Kentucky they are not needing it to rain again soon which is sad since so many lost loved ones and all of their personal belongings. I enjoyed reading this today. Your visit to my page was emotionally uplifting. Sara

Hi Sara! I am so glad that you enjoyed this haiku string! This rain was a blessing indeed as we have been so dry and wildfire season is now upon us. Have been watching the news on the floods. It breaks my heart to see such devastation! It seems to me our prayers are needed more than ever! Thank you for your lovely message! I enjoyed reading your poems. Sending you many blessings!

Hi Greg! Many thanks and much gratitude coming your way! I had such fun with this haiku string. Have discovered that haiku challenges one to use language, personification and imagery in an impactful yet concise way. It is a joyful and very satisfying experience! I always love your feedback! It inspires and motivates me. Sending you blessings

Exquisite, Sam. On Saturday we had our first rain here in quite a while. It was wonderful...while it lasted. Yesterday and today, however, the summer weather is getting its revenge for the heat wave hiatus.

Jim, thank you so much! We had our first rain in months yesterday! I agree, it was a wonderful sight to wake up to puddles. I am so glad that you enjoyed this rainstorm! If we are lucky we may a couple of latent showers today! All the best!
