Notes About The Poem

For Tania Kitchin's Contest "A Summer Bawdy Or Humerous Limerick", Date posted July 7, 2026.

Summer Omelette

In summer, listless feel of sloth he gets,
stops the sluggish time, the clock hands he sets.
In hot kitchen he doesn’t go,
     keeps whipped eggs on portico.
He snoozes in shade, sun cooks omelettes.

It's funny when sun is so hot that it fries eggs or other things. Yikes!

We can use the sun in many ways.
